All our regular Yoga teachers are
British Wheel of Yoga Diploma holders.
All regularly update their training.
All hold up to date First Aid Certificates.
Carolyn Clarke—is also a BWY Diploma Course Tutor and Verifier. She has taught in the region for over 30 years now and enjoys teaching all levels of practice.
Carolyn has a keen interest in all things yoga from history to philsophy and develops the use of yoga as an aid to living a healthy life.
Dave Clarke likes to help students to develop strength and stability in yoga posture, and encourages relaxation and good quality breathing in his classes. He particularly enjoys working with those who have had injuries through sport who are trying to 'get back to normal'
Margaret Bewick continues to teach at JT.
The class she runs is calming and gentle and is touched with her gentle humour. She has recently undertaken training to understand the use of yoga as part of the recovery process after cancer.
Dina Walter is on our teachers list and leads one class with us so far. Her care and attention to all things postural is a great asset to our continuing service to the community. The students in her class all benefit from her deep knowledge and consideration.
Kirstin Isherwood started her class in October 2009, running a Yoga & Pregnancy class in the evening to working mums to be a little time to unwind after a busy day.
Post Natal yoga class are on hold for a while, but they help mums get back into shape whilst having some personal time to relax.
Kirstin has two children of her own, so is in a great position to give lots of useful teaching tips to the yoga and pregnancy group!
Jane Clark joins our group of teachers from September 2010. She has a wonderful caring approach to the practices and enjoys all aspects especially the meditative angle to bring calmness and serenity. Coupled with a good knowledge of the postures of yoga, Jane will commence a new beginners class on a Thursday morning.
